Common questions

How do I cancel?

Apple bills the subscription, so you cancel it on your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → BidCoat, then tap Cancel. Or in BidCoat: Setup → Subscription → Manage or cancel.

You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and your jobs stay on your phone.

How do I restore my purchase?

In BidCoat, open Setup → Subscription → Plans and restore, and tap Restore purchases at the bottom. It finds a subscription bought with the Apple Account on this phone.

Subscribed on another phone? The subscription belongs to your BidCoat account, so sign in to the same account instead: on the plan screen, tap Already subscribed on another phone? Sign in.

Can I use BidCoat on more than one phone?

Yes. Sign in to the same account on each phone (Setup → Account): with the same Apple Account, or with a code sent to the same email, such as the shop's. One subscription covers them all.

How do I delete my account?

In BidCoat: Setup → Account → Delete account. It deletes your account and what it has on bidcoat.app: proposal links, their history and the files. Links you've sent stop working, so download any signed copies you need first. Signed contracts are the exception: each is kept, unchangeable, until 7 years after signing, so you and your client can both show what was agreed. Your jobs, estimates and PDFs on your phone stay.

Deleting your account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription: cancel that in Settings too (see above).

Can't open the app? Email us from your account's address and we'll delete it for you.

My client didn't get the proposal.

BidCoat sends the proposal from your own phone, with the app you pick in the share sheet (Mail, Messages and so on). So check that app first: is it in Sent, and is the client's email or number right? Then ask the client to look in spam or junk.

If you're signed in, you can also send the link another way. On the job's proposal screen, under Sent versions, touch and hold the version and tap Copy link, then paste it into a text message.

If the screen says Link waiting to upload, your phone needs signal before the link opens for your client.

Reminder emails come from “Your Business via BidCoat”. If your client doesn't see them, ask them to check spam.

Scanning doesn't start.

Room scanning needs the LiDAR scanner in Pro models: iPhone 12 Pro or a later Pro, or iPad Pro (2020 or later). On other iPhones, Scan a room doesn't appear: choose Type in dimensions and enter the length, width and height.

On a Pro model, check that BidCoat can use the camera. If you turned camera access off, the app offers Open Settings when you start a scan: turn Camera on there.

Something else? Use Setup → Contact support in the app, or email support@bidcoat.app.
